Business Coaching - Web Design

Website Design for Business Coaches

A coaching website isn't a brochure. It's the first stage of your sales process, and it's doing work whether you're paying attention to it or not. The question is whether it's working in your favor: stating your niche clearly, showing the credibility signals high-ticket buyers look for, and moving visitors toward a booked call instead of a bounce.

Overview

What a High-Performing Coaching Website Gets Right

Seven things every coaching site needs. We build all of them in from day one.

Positioning

A clear niche statement in the first 5 seconds

Visitors should immediately understand who you help and what outcome you produce. "I help SaaS founders scale to $5M ARR" lands. "I help people reach their potential" doesn't. We write and structure your hero around the specific result you deliver.

Trust signals

Credibility above the fold

ICF/EMCC certifications, named methodology, client logos, press mentions, or book authorship. High-ticket buyers make a credibility assessment within the first scroll. We give them the signals they're looking for, not a generic bio.

Offers

A structured program catalog

If you offer more than one coaching engagement type, each needs its own page with a clear description, format (1:1, group, async), duration, and next-step CTA. Program pages reduce pre-sales questions and pre-qualify buyers before they book a call.

Lead capture

A lead magnet opt-in path

Not every visitor is ready to book. We give them something worth exchanging their email for, a diagnostic, a guide, a workshop recording, and connect it to a nurture sequence through ActiveCampaign, ConvertKit, or Mailchimp.

Scheduling

Embedded booking, not email chains

Calendly or Acuity Scheduling embedded directly into your discovery call page, with a simple intake form that pre-qualifies before the call. No back-and-forth just to find a time.

Social proof

Outcome-focused testimonials

Testimonials that describe specific results ("I went from $180K to $420K in 14 months") outperform generic praise. Video testimonials perform even better for high-ticket programs.

Performance

Mobile-first, every time

A significant share of coaching research happens on mobile, often during commutes or evenings. A slow, poorly formatted mobile experience loses high-value prospects before they ever read your methodology.

Process

Our Coaching Website Design Process

Five stages from kickoff to launch. Every one built around how coaching buyers actually research and decide.

01

Discovery and Positioning Audit

We start by understanding your niche, your offers, your credentials, and your current funnel, or the lack of one. We look at what search terms your ideal clients use, what objections they carry into a first conversation, and what your competitors are doing well or poorly.

02

Site Architecture and Funnel Mapping

We plan the full page structure: homepage, about, program pages, blog or resources, intake/application, and confirmation pages. The lead magnet path and the direct-to-call path get mapped separately, because different visitor types need different on-ramps.

03

Content and Copywriting Direction

We collaborate on page copy that matches your voice and speaks directly to your specific buyer. Coaching sites live or die on copy clarity. We push for specificity: named methodology, named client outcomes, named credentials, and avoid the generic transformation language every coaching site defaults to.

04

Design and Development

We build in WordPress with clean, performance-optimized code. No bloated page builders, no theme lock-in that turns future updates into a production. Scheduling, email, forms, and any course or membership infrastructure get integrated at the build stage, not bolted on after.

05

75+ Point QA and Launch

Every site goes through our Optik Method QA audit before it goes live: mobile rendering, load speed, form submission testing, integration verification, and accessibility checks. We don't ship until it passes.

Coaching Website Features and Integrations

The platforms we integrate with regularly for coaching clients. If your stack isn't listed here, ask us. Chances are we've worked with it.

Scheduling

Booking without the back-and-forth

Calendly, Acuity Scheduling, SimplyBook.me. Embedded booking with intake forms that pre-qualify before the call happens.

Email & automation

Nurture that runs itself

ActiveCampaign, ConvertKit (Kit), Mailchimp. Lead magnet opt-ins connected directly to nurture sequences, so follow-up happens without manual work.

Forms & payments

Application intake with payment

Gravity Forms with Stripe. Built for coaches who run an "apply first" model before revealing pricing.

Program delivery

WordPress-native LMS

LearnDash, LifterLMS, MemberPress. Full control over design, SEO, and data, with course and membership access built in.

Coaching operations

Client portal and accountability

Paperbell, CoachAccountable, Practice.do, Satori. Session notes, action items, and client workspace tools that sit alongside your WordPress site.

External platforms

Kajabi and Teachable, connected cleanly

Many coaches use Kajabi or Teachable for program delivery and want WordPress for the marketing site and SEO. We build that split architecture so visitors move from one to the other without friction.

FAQ

How much does a business coaching website cost?

Most coaching websites we build run $2,000-$12,000. Solo coach sites with a streamlined program page, scheduling integration, and lead magnet opt-in typically land in the lower half of that range. Sites with multiple programs, LMS infrastructure, or custom enrollment flows land higher. We scope every project individually after a free consultation.

Should I build my coaching site on WordPress or a platform like Kajabi?

WordPress gives you more design control, better SEO flexibility, and full data ownership. Kajabi and similar all-in-one platforms are faster to launch and include built-in email and community tools, but they constrain your SEO and design significantly. Many of our coaching clients run WordPress as their marketing and content hub and use Kajabi or Teachable for program delivery. We build and support that split architecture.

How do you handle coaches who offer both 1:1 and group programs?

Each offer type gets its own page, with distinct copy tailored to the buyer's mindset for that format. A prospect for a group mastermind is asking different questions than a prospect for 1:1 executive coaching. The site architecture routes them to the right page from the homepage and navigation, and each offer page has its own CTA path, whether that's a direct booking link, an application form, or an enrollment waitlist.

Can you move my coaching site from Kajabi or Squarespace to WordPress?

Yes, this is a project type we handle regularly. We migrate content, rebuild the design to your spec in WordPress, preserve or improve SEO signal where possible, and wire up your existing integrations in the new environment. Program delivery can stay on Kajabi if that's working for you, while the marketing and content site moves to WordPress.

What makes a coaching website convert visitors into consultation bookings?

In our experience, the biggest conversion levers are a clear niche statement so visitors self-qualify immediately, a frictionless booking path (embedded scheduling, not a contact form they have to wait to hear back from), and outcome-specific social proof that answers the implicit question "has this worked for someone like me." A lead magnet opt-in path also captures visitors who aren't ready to book today but may be in 30 or 60 days.
