Organized around situations, not labels
Pages built around what clients are looking for: wills, trusts, Medicaid planning, probate, power of attorney. The copy speaks to the situation the client is in, not the legal category they've landed in.
Estate Planning Lawyers - Web Design
A website built to earn trust before a client ever reads your bio, designed around how estate planning clients actually search, research, and decide. Because the decision carries no immediate urgency, clients have time to compare firms, and that's an opportunity for a site built to hold their attention and a liability for one that isn't.
Overview
Seven things every estate planning site needs. We build all of them in from day one.
Pages built around what clients are looking for: wills, trusts, Medicaid planning, probate, power of attorney. The copy speaks to the situation the client is in, not the legal category they've landed in.
Some visitors already know they need a revocable living trust. Others are asking whether they need an attorney at all. A well-structured site has entry points for both, with content that builds toward a consultation request.
No results-guarantee language. Testimonials with appropriate disclaimers, required in many states under ABA Model Rules and state bar advertising rules. No misleading specialization claims.
Estate planning firms serve an older client base that disproportionately relies on assistive technology. Accessible design is both a legal risk mitigation measure and a practical expansion of your reach.
Your contact form and scheduling process need to ask for the right amount of information: enough to prepare for a consultation, not so much it creates friction, with clear expectations about what happens next.
Your site likely needs to work for a 72-year-old planning their own estate and a 48-year-old adult child researching options for an aging parent. Different entry points, different concerns, one architecture that serves both.
Many estate planning firms rely on educational seminars and webinars as a primary lead magnet. Your website needs a clean registration flow that connects to your email marketing platform and CRM.
Process
Five stages from kickoff to launch. Every one built around estate planning-specific requirements.
We start by understanding your practice areas, your ideal client profile, your competitive market, and what your current website is and isn't doing. We review your existing site's structure, content gaps, and technical health before writing a line of code.
We map the pages your site needs, organized around the search terms your clients actually use. For most estate planning firms, this includes dedicated pages for wills, trusts, probate, elder law/Medicaid, powers of attorney, and your primary sub-specialties.
Visual design that projects credibility and warmth. We review all copy and design elements against bar advertising compliance requirements before anything is finalized, flagging issues for you to confirm before we build.
We build in WordPress and connect your site to the platforms your practice runs on: Clio, Smokeball, PracticePanther, MyCase, Lawmatics, LawPay, Calendly, and Gravity Forms for conflict-check intake.
Every site goes through our Optik Method quality check before it goes live. Accessibility, speed, mobile rendering, form function, internal linking, and more. Nothing ships without it.
The estate planning-specific tools we plug into. Every site we build gets integrated with the platforms your practice actually runs on, not a generic stack.
Practice management
Clio, Smokeball, PracticePanther, MyCase. Intake form submissions become contacts and potential matters in your practice management platform automatically. No re-typing, no missed leads.
Document drafting
Wealth Docx (WealthCounsel), Lawyaw. These are internal drafting tools, not website integrations, but we design site architecture that supports the client intake process these systems depend on.
Intake & scheduling
Gravity Forms, Calendly, Lawmatics. Custom intake forms with conflict-check fields and matter type selectors, consultation scheduling embedded directly into your site, and Lawmatics for follow-up sequences and client nurture.
Payments
LawPay. Built for the trust accounting requirements general payment processors can't handle. Clients pay retainers and consultation fees online without creating compliance headaches.
Email & nurture
Mailchimp, Zapier. Newsletter and drip campaign integration for seminar follow-up and long-term client nurture. Zapier connects your site's intake data to your CRM or practice management platform where a direct integration doesn't exist.
Accessibility & compliance
Every site we build meets WCAG 2.1 AA from day one, and every page structure is reviewed against ABA Model Rules 7.1-7.4 before launch. Older clients disproportionately rely on assistive technology, so this isn't optional.
Pricing
Every project is scoped after a free consultation. These are typical ranges based on the estate planning and law firm sites we've built.
Solo practitioner or small firm
$2,000-$5,000
One-time build
Multi-attorney or specialty practice
$5,000-$8,000
One-time build
Complex or enterprise build
$8,000-$12,000
Scoped individually
Where a project lands depends on the number of practice areas, depth of content production, and complexity of intake routing and integrations. Complex integrations, large attorney rosters, or multi-location needs move toward the higher end or above. We'll give you a clear number before any work begins.
Send us your project and we'll scope it straight -- no pushy sales.

Good to know
Most estate planning firm websites we build fall in the $2,000-$12,000 range. The lower end covers a clean, well-structured WordPress site for a solo or small firm. The higher end covers multi-attorney practices with expanded page architecture, CRM integrations, seminar registration flows, and a full ADA/WCAG compliance audit. Enterprise-scale builds with complex integrations or multi-location structures can go above $15,000. Everything is scoped in a free consultation before you commit to anything.
Yes. We audit your existing site before we redesign it, document the URL structure, and implement proper 301 redirects during the migration. We don't let a redesign wipe out your organic ranking history. Our launch checklist specifically covers this.
We build testimonial sections with the appropriate disclaimers your state bar requires. The standard disclaimer we use as a baseline reads: "Past results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Results vary based on the specific facts and legal circumstances of each case." We flag if your state has additional specific requirements (California, Florida, and New York, among others, have explicit rules) and work with you to confirm the language before publishing.
We offer both options. We can write the content as part of the project scope, with our writers working from your input to capture your firm's voice and practice focus, or we can work from content you provide. For most estate planning firms, we write the core service pages and you review and adjust. Attorney bios are typically drafted from a questionnaire you complete.
For a typical estate planning firm site, the design-to-launch timeline runs 8-14 weeks. Faster timelines are possible for smaller scopes. Larger, more complex projects take longer. Timeline is confirmed during scoping once we understand the full project requirements.
That's a core requirement we design around, not an afterthought. We build clear navigation, readable type sizes, and straightforward calls to action for visitors who may be less comfortable online, alongside the deeper educational content and comparison-friendly detail that adult children researching on behalf of a parent tend to look for. WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards support both audiences at once.
Yes. Multi-location estate planning firms need dedicated location pages with distinct local SEO signals, attorney assignments, and contact details for each office, all connected through one consistent site architecture. This is scoped as part of the multi-attorney or enterprise pricing tiers.
