Built for the phone in the dugout
Over 65% of sports organization traffic arrives on phones. Every layout, navigation element, registration form, and schedule table needs to work cleanly on a 375px screen before anything else.
Sports - Web Design
We build WordPress websites for sports leagues, travel clubs, training facilities, and academies that handle real-world demands: registration surges, mobile-first audiences, team store transactions, and parent communication at scale.
Overview
Seven things every sports site needs. We build all of them in from day one.
Over 65% of sports organization traffic arrives on phones. Every layout, navigation element, registration form, and schedule table needs to work cleanly on a 375px screen before anything else.
Buried forms, unclear pricing, and multi-step flows that break on mobile are the primary reasons registration completion rates fall short of the 60-75% target. We design registration pathways that are direct and friction-free.
Coaches, parents, and athletes need schedule and roster information without hunting for it. We build these sections to be easy to update and easy to read at a glance, including on small screens in poor lighting at a field.
Tournament registrations, tryout announcements, and camp signups each have different information needs. We build event page templates your staff can update quickly without touching code.
Uniform sales, merchandise, and camp or event purchases belong on the same site where parents are already registering. We build team stores through WooCommerce or connect to an existing Shopify or Square setup.
Logo walls, sponsor tiers, and partner callouts look professional and load fast when they're built correctly. We handle the layout so sponsors feel well-represented without slowing page performance.
Game highlights, facility tours, and team photos build trust with prospective families. We build galleries and video sections that don't compromise page speed.
Process
Five stages from kickoff to launch. Every one built around season timelines.
We start by understanding your season calendar, your audience (parents, athletes, coaches, or all three), and the specific workflows the site needs to support. Registration platform, team store, communication tools, and any existing content all get mapped out here.
We plan the site structure around how your audiences actually navigate, not around what looks impressive in a sitemap. Schedule, registration, and contact get priority placement. We identify which integrations go where.
We design in WordPress, not in a static mockup tool. You see the real site taking shape. Content gets written or migrated. Integration points with TeamSnap, SportsEngine, LeagueApps, or other platforms get connected and tested.
Every site goes through our 75+ point quality audit before launch. This covers mobile display across device sizes, form functionality, page load times, cross-browser rendering, and integration testing. Sports sites get load-tested against the seasonal spike scenario, not just average traffic.
We launch on a schedule that accounts for your season calendar. You get training on how to update the content your team manages (schedules, rosters, news), and you have us available for questions well after launch day.
We build sports sites to work with the platforms organizations already use. We don't ask you to change your operations to fit our build.
Registration & league management
TeamSnap, SportsEngine, LeagueApps, Blue Sombrero, Stack Sports. Registration, payment, and team management from your existing platform connects into WordPress so parents move from your site to registration without friction.
Live scoring
GameChanger. Live scoring, game logs, and highlights from GameChanger can be embedded into team or league pages for real-time engagement during the season.
Team stores
WooCommerce, Shopify. Team stores built on WooCommerce live natively in WordPress. Shopify storefronts can be embedded via the Shopify Buy Button for organizations that already have a Shopify setup.
Payments
Square, Stripe. Payment processing for registrations, merchandise, and event fees connects through WooCommerce or standalone forms.
Events
Eventbrite. Tournament registrations, camps, and one-off events managed in Eventbrite can be embedded into your sports site so families don't need to navigate away.
Training facilities & CRM
MindBody, Mailchimp, HubSpot. Training facilities and performance centers that use MindBody can surface class schedules and booking on the site. Email list capture connects to Mailchimp or HubSpot for ongoing parent and athlete communication.

Good to know
Most sports organization websites run $2,000 to $12,000. Simpler sites with one or two integrations sit toward the lower end. Full-featured sites with team stores, multiple registration platform connections, event pages, and gallery sections sit toward the upper end or above it. We scope every project after a free consultation, so you get a number based on what your organization actually needs.
Yes, and we plan for it. If you have a hard registration deadline, tell us at the start and we build the project schedule around that date. Most sports sites take 8 to 12 weeks from kickoff to launch. The earlier we start, the more room we have for testing under realistic load conditions.
Keep them. We build around your existing platforms, not against them. Most of the major sports management tools have embedding or API options that let us surface their data on your WordPress site. Your staff keeps using the tools they already know, and your website shows the information parents need.
We handle design. You provide your logo, brand colors if you have them, photos or video if you have them, and direction on the feel you want. We take it from there. If you want to be involved in design decisions, we include review rounds. If you prefer to hand it off and approve at milestones, we can work that way too.
You get training on managing the content your team owns (schedules, rosters, news posts, event pages) and ongoing support from the same team that built the site. We strongly recommend a maintenance plan to keep WordPress core, plugins, and themes updated and to maintain uptime monitoring going into your season. Details are on the WordPress Maintenance page.
