Manufacturers - Web Design

Manufacturing Website Design

Engineers evaluate your website the way they evaluate a supplier: by the depth and accuracy of your technical data. We build manufacturing websites that carry the capability, certification, and specification content your buyers need to qualify you before they ever submit an RFQ.

Overview

What Makes a Great Manufacturing Website

Seven things every manufacturing site needs. We build all of them in from day one.

Architecture

Structured capability pages

Capability pages organized by process, material, and industry served, with machine specs, tolerance ranges, and lead time data that let engineers self-qualify your shop without picking up the phone.

Lead capture

RFQ forms with CAD file upload

Engineers work in .STEP, .IGES, and .DXF files. Your quote request form should accept them directly. That file upload field meaningfully reduces submission friction and raises the quality of leads you receive.

Trust signals

Certification and compliance display

ISO 9001, AS9100, ITAR, NADCAP, and ISO 13485 displayed prominently and in context on capability pages, not buried in a footer badge.

Content depth

Materials and applications pages

Dedicated pages for the materials you process, alloys, plastics, and composites, and the applications you serve give your site the content depth engineers and search engines both reward.

Positioning

Industries served, named explicitly

Aerospace, automotive, medical device, defense, electronics. Technical buyers look for suppliers who understand their compliance environment. Name the industries you serve directly.

Documentation

Downloadable spec sheets

PDF capability guides, tolerance charts, and equipment lists that engineers can take into their evaluation process, no login wall required.

Performance

Speed and ADA compliance

Industrial buyers are increasingly mobile. A site that loads slowly or fails WCAG accessibility standards loses credibility with buyers and search engines at the same time.

Process

Our Manufacturing Website Design Process

Five stages from kickoff to launch. Every one built around how technical buyers evaluate a supplier.

01

Discovery and Technical Audit

We start by understanding your capabilities, certifications, target industries, and current buyers. We review your existing site for gaps: missing tolerance data, capability pages that don't rank, RFQ forms that lose submissions, slow load times.

02

Information Architecture

We map the full page structure: capability pages, material pages, industry-served pages, certification sections, case study architecture. For manufacturers with ERP or CRM integrations, we scope data flow requirements at this stage to avoid surprises later.

03

Design and Prototyping

We design with the engineer in mind: clear hierarchy, spec data that scans quickly, trust signals at decision points, and RFQ pathways that are visible without being pushy.

04

Development and Integration

We build on WordPress. Development includes RFQ form builds with CAD file upload, CRM and ERP integration, performance optimization, and ADA compliance review.

05

75+ Point QA and Launch

Every site runs through our Optik Method 75+ step quality checklist before launch. That covers form submission testing end to end, integration data flow verification, cross-browser testing, page speed, and accessibility. Nothing ships until it passes.

Features and Integrations We Build For

Manufacturing websites live or die by how cleanly they connect to the systems your business runs on. We build integrations with the platforms manufacturers actually use.

CRM

HubSpot & Salesforce

Lead capture, RFQ routing, pipeline tracking, and automated follow-up sequences tied to quote request submissions. Salesforce integration also covers multi-site manufacturers with complex sales team structures.

ERP

NetSuite, Epicor & Genius ERP

Cloud ERP integration for routing website leads and RFQ data into quoting and production planning workflows, including job shop and make-to-order environments.

Enterprise

Microsoft Dynamics 365

Deep integration for manufacturers already operating in the Microsoft ecosystem, including Teams, Azure, and Business Central.

Shop management

ProShop

Shop management integration for precision manufacturers running ProShop as their primary operations platform.

Procurement

PunchOut Catalogs

B2B e-procurement integrations with Ariba, Coupa, and Jaggaer that let corporate buyers shop your catalog directly within their procurement system.

Quote forms

Custom RFQ forms

Multi-step forms with .STEP, .IGES, and .DXF file upload fields, conditional logic, and direct CRM or ERP routing, built in Gravity Forms or a custom solution.

Most manufacturing websites we build run $2,000-$12,000. The final number depends on the number of capability and material pages, depth of content development, and integration complexity. We don't publish fixed packages because the right scope depends on your business and your buyers.

FAQ

How much does a manufacturing website cost?

Most manufacturing websites we build run between $5,000 and $15,000. That covers a full custom WordPress design, capability architecture, RFQ forms with CAD file upload, CRM integration, and our full 75+ point QA process. Projects with large product catalogs, PunchOut integrations, multi-market builds, or deep ERP data flows run higher. Everything's scoped after an initial conversation so you get a number tied to your actual requirements.

Do you build on WordPress or a proprietary platform?

We build exclusively on WordPress. That's a deliberate choice. It has the ecosystem to support everything a manufacturing website needs: custom RFQ forms, ERP and CRM integrations, large capability architectures, and PunchOut catalog setups. We manage 800+ WordPress sites and have deep experience with the specific configurations manufacturing businesses require. We don't split attention across Webflow, Squarespace, or other platforms.

How long will the build take?

Most manufacturing website builds take 8 to 14 weeks from kickoff to launch. Projects with complex ERP integrations, large catalog architectures, or content development across many capability pages can run longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline during scoping and we won't compress it in ways that compromise our QA process.

Can you handle the content development, or do we need to provide everything?

We can handle content development as part of the project scope. The most effective content comes from a combination of your engineering and sales team's knowledge, tolerances, materials, certifications, equipment, and our ability to shape that into content that ranks and converts. We'll walk you through what we need from your team and what we handle from our side during discovery.

Will the site be ADA compliant?

Yes. ADA compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA standards) is part of our QA process on every manufacturing website build. That covers color contrast, screen reader compatibility, keyboard navigation, alt text on images, and form accessibility, reviewed as part of our 75+ point launch checklist, not as an afterthought.
