Digital Marketing and Website Design for Therapists

Your prospective clients are searching for someone who understands exactly what they're going through. When they find your website, it needs to do two things fast: feel safe, and answer the question "can this therapist help me?" CyberOptik builds sites and runs marketing programs that do both.

Overview

Why Most Therapy Practice Websites Are Costing You Clients

Therapy is one of the most personal decisions a person makes. The research starts online, often late at night, from someone already anxious about reaching out. If a website feels clinical, generic, or hard to navigate, that person closes the tab and moves on.

Most therapy sites don't fail on information. They fail on fit.

Prospective clients search by specialty first: "EMDR therapist," "trauma therapist for teens," "LGBTQ affirming counselor near me." If a site doesn't reflect the populations served and the approaches used, it's invisible to the clients it wants to reach.

Psychology Today and Headway send traffic but don't close it. Your site does.

Then there's the compliance layer. Any contact form, intake form, or scheduling widget not built with HIPAA in mind is a liability. Private practice CPLs run $30-$100, and group practices often pay $50-$150 per lead. Every leak compounds the cost.

Why us

Our Commitments to Therapy Practice Clients

A senior point of contact on every project

You talk to a senior practitioner from day one, not a junior account coordinator routing messages. Strategy, scope, and the hard calls come from someone who's actually done the work. That matters when HIPAA-aware forms and scheduling integrations are on the line.

Our Optik Method, backed by a 75+ step QA check

Every project runs through a structured process and closes with a 75+ point quality audit before launch. No therapy practice site ships without it, including form security checks and mobile performance testing.

We're still here six months later

After launch, you get ongoing care plans and real support whenever you need it. The same team that built your therapy practice site is still the team answering tickets a year later.

100% focused on WordPress

CyberOptik doesn't split attention across five platforms. Depth beats breadth, and the team has seen nearly every scenario a WordPress site can throw at it, from EHR embeds to multi-therapist bio architecture.

Why us

Why Therapy Practices Choose CyberOptik

We understand how therapy clients make decisions

The path from search to intake is emotional and personal. Every page gets designed around that reality, from therapist bio structure to form language to visual warmth.

We build with HIPAA considerations in mind

Hosting, forms, and scheduling integrations all get evaluated so the technical layer of the site doesn't create compliance risk. Most generalist agencies don't even ask the question.

We know the platforms your practice runs on

SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, Jane App, TheraNest, Headway, Alma. CyberOptik has integrated with all of them and knows which ones embed cleanly and where workarounds are needed.

We market to the specialty, not just the zip code

Therapy clients search by specialty and population before they search by location. SEO and PPC programs get built around that search behavior, not generic local marketing templates.

FAQ

Does my therapy website need to be HIPAA compliant?

The website itself isn't regulated by HIPAA, but any system on it that collects Protected Health Information needs to handle that data through HIPAA-compliant channels. That includes contact forms, intake forms, scheduling widgets, and the email systems they route through. A standard contact form sending to a regular Gmail or Outlook inbox isn't compliant. CyberOptik audits existing setups and builds new sites with compliant workflows from the start.

Will you work with my existing SimplePractice or TherapyNotes account?

Yes. CyberOptik has hands-on experience integrating the major therapy EHR and practice management platforms into WordPress sites, including SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, Jane App, and TheraNest. The team knows which embeds work cleanly, where limitations exist, and how to supplement with HIPAA-compliant form solutions when the native integration doesn't cover everything needed.

What if I'm a solo therapist, not a group practice?

Solo private practice is the most common therapy client type CyberOptik works with. The site needs are different from a group practice: one bio page instead of a team directory, simpler intake workflows, often a stronger personal brand component. A solo practice website doesn't need to cost what a group practice site costs, and SEO and PPC programs get calibrated to the caseload goals of a one-therapist shop.

Do you help with therapist directory listings like Psychology Today?

CyberOptik focuses on the owned website and paid search programs. It doesn't manage third-party directory profiles directly, but it does help structure website content so it complements and outperforms a directory presence over time. The website should be the destination directory profiles point toward.

How do you handle a practice with multiple therapists and different specialties?

Group practice sites need a different architecture than solo sites: a strong team directory, individual bio pages optimized around specialties and populations, and a structure that lets someone searching "ADHD therapist" land on the right therapist page. We've built this for multi-therapist practices and know how to scale it as a team grows.

What does a therapy website project typically cost?

Most therapy practice website projects break into three scopes:

Focused site. $2,000-$5,000. Solo practice with a clean intake workflow.

Standard build. $5,000-$8,000. Well-built site with the integrations most practices need.

Group practice. $8,000-$12,000+. Individual bios, team directory, specialty landing pages, full EHR integration.

Every project is scoped after a free consultation.

Should I use PPC if I'm already listed on Psychology Today and Headway?

Directory profiles and paid search serve different purposes. Psychology Today and Headway put a practice in front of clients browsing directories. Google Ads puts it in front of clients searching for a specific specialty or making a decision right now. The two work best in combination, and CyberOptik helps practices set budgets that use both channels efficiently.
