Website Care
Your website needs a real privacy policy, not a copied one
Almost everyone copies a privacy policy from another site and never touches it again. We don't force this on anyone, but if you want it done right, setup is free on any new WordPress build, or $125 as a standalone project on an existing site. The Termageddon license runs $99/yr billed through us, and includes cookie consent to help cover you on CIPA.
A privacy policy isn't boilerplate you paste in once and forget. It's a legal document that's supposed to describe what your site actually collects and what you actually do with it. We don't force clients to use Termageddon, but we do suggest it.
If you already have a policy you trust, we're happy to keep it. If you want one done right, we set it up free on every new WordPress build so it's built around your real data practices and updates on its own as US privacy laws change.

Why us
Why a copied policy doesn't hold up
Grabbing a privacy policy off another site feels free and fast. It's also legally worthless the moment you publish it, and here's why.
- It describes someone else's business. A copied policy references the wrong data collection, the wrong practices, and the wrong vendors, because it was written for a different site with different forms, different analytics, and different pixels.
- US privacy law keeps changing. CCPA, CalOPPA, and new state laws every year. A policy that was fine two years ago can be out of date today.
- A vague paragraph fails a real audit. "We care about your privacy" isn't a policy. If anyone ever actually checks what your site collects against what your policy says, a static generic paragraph won't survive that comparison.
- Failing to disclose data collection has real teeth. Not disclosing what you collect and how you use it can trigger lawsuits and regulatory fines, not just an awkward email from a visitor.
- Cookie consent isn't optional anymore. CIPA claims are being filed against sites that run tracking pixels without a real consent banner. A cookie consent tool paired with your policy is the piece most sites skip.
- Your customers actually check now. People pay attention to this more than they used to, and a garbage privacy policy signals a garbage business before they've even filled out your form.
Services
What's included
- Termageddon setup on your WordPress site. Setup is free with any new build. The $99/yr license is billed through us so you've got one point of contact.
- Configured around your actual data collection. Analytics, forms, cookies, and third-party pixels get accounted for, not guessed at.
- Auto-generated and auto-updated. The policy is built from your real setup, and it updates itself as US privacy laws change instead of going stale the day it's published.
- Cookie consent banner included. Set up alongside the policy so visitors get a real opt-in. This is the piece that helps cover you on CIPA claims tied to tracking pixels.
- Terms of service policy included. Covers the other legal page most sites skip entirely.
- Industry-specific disclaimer policies available. Healthcare, finance, and legal clients have extra disclosure needs, and Termageddon covers those too.
Process
How we handle it
We suggest it, we don't force it
If you already have a privacy policy you trust and it stays current, keep it. We'll look at it straight and tell you if we think it holds up. If you'd rather bring your own solution or a policy your attorney drafted, that's fine too. This section covers what we recommend and why, not what you're required to buy.
Why we use Termageddon instead of writing policies ourselves
We could write you a static privacy policy and call it done. But US privacy law changes constantly, and a static policy is out of date the day we ship it. Termageddon's whole business is keeping policies current against CCPA, CalOPPA, and the ongoing wave of state privacy legislation. Their in-house legal team monitors those laws so your policy updates automatically instead of us rewriting it by hand every time California passes something new.
What the license includes and how billing works
The $99/yr license covers the privacy policy, terms of service, disclaimer policies, and cookie consent, all generated from your real business info, with unlimited changes as your business evolves. We resell the license, so you pay us direct and only deal with one vendor.
What it costs on our side
Setup is free when it's part of a new WordPress build with us. For existing sites, setup is a flat $125 as a standalone project. That's the whole cost structure on our end. No retainer, no hidden fees.
If you already have a privacy policy
We'll look at it straight. If it's a real policy that reflects your practices and stays current, we leave it alone. If it's a copy-paste job that describes someone else's business, we'll flag it and suggest a replacement, but the call is yours.
Timeline & investment
How it works and what it costs
This gets built into your launch prep on new builds. Existing sites get set up as a flat $125 standalone project, then Termageddon takes over on auto-update.
How it works
- ✓You fill in a short form with your business info. General details about the company and what you do, that's it to start.
- ✓Once your site is live, we review what data it actually collects. Forms, analytics, cookies, pixels, whatever's actually running.
- ✓We set up your policies and cookie consent on the live site. Built around your real setup, not a generic policy.
- ✓Policies auto-update as new US laws come out. Termageddon emails you directly if they ever need more info from you.
Investment
- ✓Free setup on any new WordPress build. No separate line item to negotiate.
- ✓$125 flat setup for existing sites. One-time, standalone project. No new build required.
- ✓Termageddon license is $99/yr, billed through us so you deal with one vendor.
- ✓Existing sites without a real policy can get this set up as a $125 standalone project.
Is this right for you?
Who this privacy policy setup is (and isn't) a fit for
We'd rather turn down a bad fit than sell you the wrong thing. Here's the straight cut.
You're a fit if
- ✓You're launching a new WordPress site with us (this comes free)
- ✓You collect any form data, run analytics, use pixels, or have a mailing list
- ✓You've been putting this off because a real policy sounded expensive or complicated
- ✓You want it to stay current without babysitting it yourself
- ✓You care about actual compliance, not performative "we value your privacy" language
You probably don't need this if
- ✗You're staying on Wix or Squarespace (you can subscribe to Termageddon direct, you don't need us for that)
- ✗You already have a lawyer-drafted policy you love and it stays current
- ✗You're expecting legal advice (we're not lawyers, and Termageddon isn't legal advice either, though it beats a copy-paste policy by a wide margin)
- ✗You want a "free forever" solution (there's no such thing at scale, \$99/yr is real pricing)
If that's you, we'll say so on our first call. No hard sell.

FAQs
What's Termageddon and why do you use them?
Termageddon is a policy management company we partner with instead of writing static policies ourselves. Their focus is keeping privacy policies current against CCPA, CalOPPA, and the growing pile of US state privacy laws. We use them because a policy we wrote once would be out of date within a year, and Termageddon's whole business is not letting that happen.
Is $99/yr really enough for something this important?
Yes. That license covers the policy generation, the automatic updates whenever a relevant law changes, and the terms of service and cookie consent pieces that come with it. You're not paying for a one-time document, you're paying for it to stay accurate every year after.
Does the policy auto-update or do I have to redo it every year?
It auto-updates. That's the entire point of using Termageddon instead of a static document. When CCPA or a new US state law changes something relevant, your policy updates without you or us having to manually rewrite it.
What if I already have a privacy policy?
We'll look at it straight. If it's a real policy that reflects your actual data practices and stays current, keep it. We don't force clients off a working policy. If it's a copied or generic paragraph that doesn't match what your site actually collects, we'll flag it and suggest replacing it with a Termageddon-powered one, but the call is yours.
Can I get this without a new website build?
Yes. Free setup is tied to a new WordPress build. For existing sites, we set it up as a flat $125 standalone project. Either way, the $99/yr Termageddon license is billed through us.
