The challenge
Corporate housing is one of the more competitive verticals we work in. It sits at the intersection of real estate, hospitality, and business travel, which means the same short-term-stay keywords are being fought over by property managers, hotel-adjacent brands, and national aggregators. This client came in averaging 385 monthly clicks at position 39.3, mid-page 4, which for a metro real estate operator is a real problem.
The pain point wasn't just rankings. It was that most of the impressions the site was picking up weren't for the queries that generate corporate bookings. The traffic was there in volume, but the intent match was off.
The strategy
The strategy leaned hard into geographic layering. We built content and internal linking around the exact neighborhoods, submarkets, and metro areas the client actually served, instead of chasing broad national terms. That let us stack up specific metro rankings without cannibalizing across pages.
Alongside the geo work, we did the usual technical cleanup, content depth on the highest-intent pages, and steady on-page optimization for the terms corporate travel coordinators and relocation buyers actually use.
The results
| Metric | Before SEO | After SEO | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Avg monthly clicks | 385 | 553 | +44% |

| Avg search position | 39.3 | 18.4 | Improved 21 pos |
Average monthly organic clicks grew from 385 to 553, a 44% increase. Total campaign clicks have crossed 8,500 (the highest in the portfolio to date), with a peak month at 796 clicks. Search position moved from 39.3 to 18.4, a 21-position gain, and the site now holds top-5 rankings for several competitive metro keywords.
In a category this crowded, holding page 1 real estate for specific metro terms is what turns a website from a brochure into a lead source.
