No real export path. Wix doesn't give you a clean way to take your content and leave. Everything lives inside a closed system (great for Wix, rough for you when you're ready to move).

How we handle Wix-specific gotchas

The biggest one is the lack of export tools. Wix doesn't hand you a clean file of your content the way some platforms do, so a chunk of the migration is a structured manual process: we go page by page, pull content and media, and rebuild it in WordPress instead of running an automated import. It takes more hands-on work than a Squarespace or Webflow migration -- but it's a solved problem for us at this point.

The second one is ADI sites specifically. If a bot generated your layout, the page structure underneath tends to be inconsistent from page to page. We spend extra time in the audit phase (before any building starts) making sure nothing gets missed.

Can I export my Wix site myself before hiring someone?

Not really, not in any useful way. Wix doesn't offer a full content export. That's exactly why most people hire a team for this instead of trying it themselves over a weekend.

Will I lose my Google rankings when I leave Wix?

Not if it's done right. We map your existing URLs, set up 301 redirects, and preserve your metadata before launch. Rankings dip when migrations get rushed, not when they're planned out.

My site was built with Wix ADI. Does that change anything?

It means more manual work on our end, not yours. ADI-built pages tend to have messier underlying structure, so we spend more time on the audit before we start migrating content.
